Chelsea ‘Showing Interest’ In Champions League Winner But Stunning 86M Price Tag May Put Them Off

Chelsea and Manchester United are both “showing interest” in Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, according to FussballTransfers.com.

The German website claim the Frenchman, who scored the winner in the 2020 Champions League final, is demanding a new contract with a salary between €16m and €17m a year, which Bayern are refusing to pay.

With Coman having two years remaining on his current deal at the Allianz Arena, the Bundesliga club have a dilemma about what to do with the 24-year-old.

They are reluctant to offload the France international, despite his contract situation, and it is believed they are only willing to let him leave for €100m (£86m).

It is a sky-high asking price, especially with Bayern knowing that Coman is now very unlikely to sign on to fresh terms. Whether the figure will come down as the transfer window goes on, we shall have to wait and see, but Chelsea are now probably looking at other options.
