Chelsea should target Kane and Alli

Chelsea should make moves to sign Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Virgil van Dijk this summer, according to Dean Saunders.

The former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker insists that Antonio Conte should make a move for the trio this summer and bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign. In recent years, Chelsea have been very poor at defending their Premier League crown, and predictions for the upcoming season look poor for the Blues. However, the former Wales striker believes adding Kane, Alli and Van Dijk would be perfect additions, helping them keep hold of their crown.

Chelsea boss Conte is well known to want further reinforcements this summer, admitting in an interview that he wants more signings at the club despite already spending over £130m in the current transfer window.

Saunders said on talkSport that Alli, Kane and Van Dijk would be the perfect additions to the squad and believes the trio would welcome a switch to Stamford Bridge.

Saunders told talkSport: “Dele Alli – and I think he would move to Chelsea.”

“Then there’s Virgil van Dijk and Harry Kane.”

TalkSport host Alan Brazil then stopped Saunders, saying: “No chance, Harry Kane is Spurs through and through.”

But Saunders disagreed and said: “Them two players [Alli and Kane] would improve any team.”

UPDATE:

Kane has been one of the best strikers in world football for the past three seasons, yet has had no silverware at Spurs and his August goal hoodoo continued against Chelsea this past weekend as Chelsea won 2-1. Most of the same could be said for Dele Alli, who is rumoured to be changing his agent due to Spurs’ poor wage structure. If Chelsea can afford the fees – why not?
