Chelsea Set To Start Next Season With Totally Different Strikers

Chelsea will be required to sign at least two strikers over the summer as the Blues’ current offensive line seems set to part ways with the Stamford Bridge club. Torres is close to reaching the end of his contract, Demba Ba is unhappy with his situation and Eto’o is no longer interested in renewing his one year deal. This might turn into a serious problem for Mourinho who repeatedly failed to sign any of his main targets in attack.

According to Metro, Eto’o who is the latest to hint towards a summer exist, has not forgiven Mourinho for making fun of his ambiguous age. It all happened a few weeks back, when the Portuguese boss implied he is not certain his striker is as old as he pretends to be. Despite this not being the first time such a matter has been made public, Eto’o was offended by the manager’s remarks.

The Cameroonian just turned 33 a few weeks back. As recently shown he is more than capable of scoring against any defense. Unfortunately for Chelsea, it seems there is no turning back. Given his 1 year contract, it is very unlikely he will continue his collaboration with Mourinho, despite being a strong admirer of the Portuguese boss. Things seem to have changed between the two who were once the best of friends.
