Chelsea Set To Sign Copa America Winner

Chelsea could be on track to sign 26 year old Chilean midfielder Charles Aranguiz. The Copa America winner has had a great season which culminated with him raising the most coveted trophy in South America. Even though Aranguiz was previously linked to Arsenal and a series of other European teams, he never looked too close to a move. According to Metro, the news that was at the root of the possibility of him coming to Stamford Bridge emerged after he refused an offer to join Marseille. This happened this week after returning gloriously from the Copa America where he scored one of 4 penalties for Chile, thus contributing to an amazing win.

Over the past year his market value has increased a lot and even though he has signed a deal with Internacional about 1 year ago he is already willing to leave. Apparently, the club is also ready to sell for the right price. Valued at about £16million, he could be an alternative for Chelsea, but is he really better than Ramires or Mikel? He has no experience when it comes to high pressure games and even though he played well in the Copa America, he will still find it hard to adapt to the Premier League. Despite being a great player, it is very unlikely he is better than Ramires or even Mikel. The Brazilian in particular, seems like a player who goes unnoticed but helps the team during the toughest of moments.
