Chelsea Set To Offer £100,000 A Week Salary To Secure Deal For 18 Year Old

Chelsea will offer Callum Hudson-Odoi £100,000 a week to stay at Stamford Bridge, according to the Evening Standard.

The 18-year-old is reportedly keen to leave the Blues but the London club are said to be hopeful that their new contract offer will be enough to persuade him to sign on the dotted line.

Hudson-Odoi reportedly rejected an £85,000 a week offer back in January amid reports of interest from Bayern Munich.

The latest proposal comes off the back of the teenager’s standout performance for England against Montenegro on Monday and Chelsea are desperate not to lose a very talented young player.

Hudson-Odoi’s current deal expires in 2020, meaning this summer will be the last opportunity for the club to sell him for a sizeable fee. The likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund are also interested, along with Bayern.

However, despite the threat of losing him for a nominal fee next year, the Blues are apparently willing to let the player run down his current deal. They don’t want to sell players if they can’t make signings during their transfer ban.

There is hope that more playing time this season and next campaign will then lead to Hudson-Odoi changing his mind about leaving the club.
