Chelsea Set To Miss Out On £15m Rated Kepa Replacement

Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Burki is “ready” to sign a new contract with the Bundesliga club, according to Sport Bild.

The Swiss international has been linked with a £15m move to Chelsea in recent days, with the 29-year-old tipped to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga, but it seems the keeper will be staying in Germany.

Burki is expected to put pen to paper on a four-year deal which will keep him with Dortmund until 2024.

Whether Chelsea will look to switch targets to another goalkeeper, it remains to be seen. The club’s focus at the moment appears to be on securing a deal for Leicester’s Ben Chilwell, following the agreement to sign Timo Werner.

The Blues are said to scouting a number of keepers, with reports in recent months having mentioned the likes of Ajax’s Andre Onana, Lille’s Mike Maignan, Burnley’s Nick Pope, AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma and Udinese’s Juan Musso as possible targets.
