Chelsea set to lose promising youngster to AS Monaco

Chelsea are set to lose promising young defender Jonathan Panzo to AS Monaco.

The 17-year-old is regarded as one of the Blues hottest young talents, however they now set to lose him – as they have done so many youngsters over the past few seasons.

French news outlet RMC claim a transfer has been agreed with Monaco.

Journalist Loic Tanzi wrote on Twitter: “Monaco and Chelsea agreed to a transfer from J. Panzo (17-year-old central defender). ASM hopes to close it fast.”
Panzo starred for Chelsea’s U18 squad last term, who again dominated domestically, winning the U18 Premier League for the second season running.
Panzo, who is plays as either a centre-half or left-back, played 15 times as Joe Edward’s side strolled to the division title.
