Chelsea Set To Hold ‘Imminent’ Talks With Serie A Giants Over £27m Transfer

Chelsea and Juventus will hold an “imminent summit” over the future of fullback Emerson Palmieri, according to Tuttosport.

The Italian newspaper claims that the 25-year-old is unhappy at Stamford Bridge and it is believed that good relations between the two clubs could help a transfer to go through this summer.

Juve boss Maurizio Sarri is keen on working with Emerson again, following their spell together last season while Blues manager Frank Lampard is already planning to sign the Italian international’s replacement.

It means an agreement could be reached fairly quickly, with Tuttosport reporting that a fee of €25m (€22m) to €30m (£27m) may well be enough to complete the transfer.

Chelsea could then use the money to fund a move for the likes of Leicester’s Ben Chilwell, Porto’s Alex Telles or Ajax’s Nicola Tagliafico who are all said to be targets as Lampard looks to strengthen his options at left-back.
