Chelsea Set To Face Unexpected Adversaries

Chelsea might have to change their program after finding out they have to face Scottish League Two side, East Stirling in what might be the strangest two length confrontation of the summer. Despite being used to facing top end adversaries, the Blues might be obligated by contract to make time for this little Scottish team which apparently signed a deal which hasn’t been honored for the past 52 years.

The man behind this awkward situation is Tony Ford who apparently found the half-century old contract which involve a transfer from the team he is now representing, to Chelsea. The Blues signed 22 year old Eddie McCreadie back in 1962. In order for him to be allowed to leave, East Stirling demanded that Chelsea to perform in a series of friendlies according to the Scottish side’s schedule.

According to Metro, the contract is still legally binding and requires Chelsea to play one friendly game against East Stirling. The Blues’ legal division is trying to get out of this unpleasant situation which would affect the team’s training schedule. The match should take place at Stamford Bridge according to Ford, who seemed pretty keen on making things happen as soon as possible. Mourinho has still to comment on this unusual situation which will surely be resolved after the World Cup in Brazil.
