Chelsea Set To Decide Lukaku’s Future With The Club

Romelu Lukaku who has had the best season of his career is still uncertain what his future holds. Despite being way more efficient than any of the three strikers Chelsea currently have, Mourinho does not seem confident he will ever work with Lukaku. The Belgian who has only made 10 Premier League appearances for The Blues was always keen to perform for his club but has barely got the chance to prove himself since moving to London. According to Metro, next season will be no different for the striker who insists Chelsea are the ones who will decide if he stays or goes.

Lukaku denied a fall out with Mourinho and avoided giving any more explanations regarding this particular subject. He reminded fans that he still has 2 years left of contract and that his current performances finally make him worthy of a spot in Chelsea’s team.

The Blues could surely use a striker right now considering how inefficient Torres, Ba and Eto’o have been. It is still strange that Mourinho preferred Eto’o over Lukaku who had an excellent season while on loan with WBA. A poor relationship between the striker and Chelsea’s boss seems the most plausible explanation. Even though no actual proof of a fallout was leaked to the press some say there is no turning back and that Chelsea will let Lukaku leave on a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
