Chelsea Set To Bring In Replacements For Mikel And Ramires?

The Blues could sign 21 year old Brazilian star Talisca from Benfica after failing to close the deal last summer. According to the Daily Express, back then there were problems with the player’s work visa which prevented Chelsea from going through with the deal. They also signed Matic and needed to see if the Serbian could re-acclimatise to the Premier League’s style of football. Now that things are set, Mourinho looks willing to restart negotiations for the youngster who will probably replace Mikel or Ramires who could be leaving at the beginning of July.

It is reported that Talisca’s agent recently refused an offer from Atletico just to maintain the chances of signing a deal with Chelsea. In one year spent in Lisbon, the 21 year old midfielder grew immensely. He is now worth three times as much as he was when moving to Europe. His deal is binding him to Benfica until 2019 but a serious offer could definitely make the club reconsider.

Mourinho also has the option of trying to sign Marco Veratti who just announced Real Madrid is not an option for him. He has yet to push for a move to the Premier League though despite being heavily linked to Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea. The Italian could represent a decent option but is a bit too expensive for a transfer that is not highly rated for success.
