Chelsea set for three way battle to land AS Roma superstar

Chelsea are set to battle it out with both Manchester United and Arsenal for the signature of AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan.

The Blues have made numerous advances for Nainggolan over the past few seasons, however the Belgian international instead chose to remain in Italy.

However now 29-years-old and without a major domestic honour to his name, it could the ‘the ninja’ could finally leave the Stadio Olimpico this summer.

Should Chelsea re-enter the race for Nainggolan this summer however, they are likely to face competition from both Arsenal and Manchester United.

United are keen to bolster their midfield options going into next season, as are the Gunners – who are eyeing replacements for both Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey, both of whom are widely expected to leave the club at the end of the season.

Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique, who is the favourite to succeed Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, is also understood to be a big admirer of the combative midfielder.

Nainggolan is rated at around £45 million.
