Chelsea Set For Crunch Meeting Tomorrow About £7.6m Deal For Serie A Ace

Sassuolo chairman Giovanni Carnevali is expected to fly into London for a meeting with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia tomorrow, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The main topic of conversation will be winger Jeremie Boga, who has been in superb form for the Serie A side this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 22 league appearances.

Chelsea sold the Ivorian international to Sassuolo for around £3.5m last summer, but they have a buyback option which would allow them to re-sign the forward for €9m (£7.6m).

With Sassuolo keen on making a profit on Boga, the Italian side want to know the intentions of the Blues before putting the player on the open market at the end of the season.

They could sell him for a larger sum than what Chelsea would need to pay, but with the agreement in place, it is up to the London club to decide whether they want to re-sign their former player, who spent the best part of nine years at Stamford Bridge.
