Chelsea Send Kakuta Away, Again!

According to Teamtalk, Chelsea have once again sent Gael Kakuta on loan for the rest of the season, with the French midfielder joining Italian club Lazio on this occasion to get more playing time under his belt.

Kakuta has always been touted as an exciting talent from when he first came into the first team, but has been forced out of the club ever since. The reason being new signings, which has pushed the talented midfielder to look for first team action elsewhere. The 22-year old has had loan spells at Fulham, Bolton Wanderers, Dijon and Vitesse. His total number of appearances for the Chelsea first team stand at 6 without any goal contributions.

At the age of 22, Kakuta’s future at Chelsea looks ever so bleak, with Roman Abramovich bringing in new players during almost every window to strengthen the first team. Nemanja Matic’s addition this winter has further dampened any chance of first team action, and the summer will surely bring in further new players so Kakuta’s Chelsea prospects do not look like they will improve much unless he suddenly hits a purple patch of amazing form to impress the powers that be at Stamford Bridge.
