Chelsea Seem To Have Secured Diego Costa Before The World Cup Tournament

It has been over a year since Chelsea started being linked to Atletico striker Diego Costa. The Brazilian born Spanish international who has had two amazing seasons while in Spain, is going to become Mourinho’s number one choice for a place in his starting eleven. Since Drogba, Chelsea have failed to sign an efficient and ruthless goal-scoring striker who could make the most out of Hazard, Oscar and Willian’s impeccable assists.

Apparently the time has come for Chelsea to complete their team. According to Metro, Costa casually admitted during an interview which took place over the phone that he will move to London after the World Cup in Brazil. Rumors already said the 25 year old is as good as transferred after his alleged medical visit done with the other Chelsea players.

Naturally, Costa seemed more interested in what is going to happen in Brazil. With a series of injuries preventing him from giving it his best during the past month or so, Atletico’s striker seems determined to help Spain keep their title and win the first major trophy of his international career.

With the World Cup starting today, it is hard to believe any actual official statement will be given regarding Costa’s situation. Even though nothing is yet set in stone, there is no reason seemingly why the 25 year old forward should not end up at Stamford Bridge just after the international competition ends.
