The 26 year old who has had little contact with important teams other than CSKA, has an amazing scoring rate. Currently he managed to find the net 82 times in 124 games. Not only that, but the striker has also provided his teammates with 36 assists. These stats show why the Russian side is valuating him at about £20million. Even though it is hard to believe that a player like Doumbia whose contract will expire in 2016, will be sold for so much money to a club from Western Europe, interest for the 26 year old is undeniable.

Chelsea could see in him as the next Drogba. He is not only a great replacement for the Ivorian but he is also a very promising player who seems to be on the rise. Rumors have it that Doumbia is very keen on changing scenery. The Premier League is the most appealing destination apparently. Liverpool are the other English team set to make an offer for CSKA’s striker who is having a great season up until now. Chelsea could need him more though as Drogba’s contract is about to expire at the end of the season.
