Chelsea ‘Ready To Take Concrete Action’ With 86M Offer For Serie A Star

Chelsea are “ready to take concrete action” to sign Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku this summer, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Italian website claims that the Blues are prepared to pay as much as €100m (£86m) for the former Manchester United player. However, they also say that Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland remains the club’s top priority and an official bid for Serie A’s second top scorer may only happen if the Norwegian opts to move to another club.

Lukaku does, though, have other potential suitors as well, with Manchester City still keeping tabs on the Belgian international, having previously attempted to sign him at the start of this season.

For Inter’s part, they have no intention of dispensing with Lukaku’s services at this stage, but they do have some financial issues which may force them into selling up for the right price. Whether €100m would tempt them, we shall have to wait and see.
