Chelsea are “ready to table” a bid for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha this month, according to the Times. The newspaper claims that the Eagles’ £80m asking price may prove a problem so the Blues will offer a player in exchange to reduce the cost.
Palace are said to be interested in both Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud but it is believed that manager Frank Lampard would be more willing to part ways with the Frenchman in order to secure the Ivorian’s services.
Zaha has been the subject of much speculation over the past few months, with bids from Arsenal and Everton having been rejected for the player during the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old is reportedly looking to move on from Selhurst Park, and Chelsea are also equally keen to snap up the wide man in order to strengthen their chances of securing a top four finish this campaign.
