Chelsea Ready To Offer Up To 260K A Week Salary To Italian Shot Stopper But Face Competition From PSG

Chelsea are prepared to give AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma up to €15m (£13.46m) a season, including bonuses, in order persuade him to make the move to Stamford Bridge, according to reports in Italy.

The Italian international’s contract expires at the end of the season and is free to talk to other clubs regarding a potential move next summer. Milan are thought to be only prepared to offer the shot-stopper around €5m a season, but he could earn double or triple the salary elsewhere.

Donnarumma does have potential suitors other than Chelsea, though, with Paris Saint-Germain now also believed to be in the running for the 21-year-old. The Ligue One champions are said to be willing to match any proposal made by the Blues, who would effectively be giving a deal worth up to £260,000 a week.

At this stage, the keeper has not made a decision on his future but it seems clear that Chelsea are going all-in to sign him on a free transfer.
