Chelsea Ready To Bid £26m For Real Ace As They Seek Pedro’s Replacement

Chelsea have identified Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez as their number one target to replace Pedro in the summer, according to todofichajes.com.

The Spanish website claims that manager Frank Lampard has asked the Blues to find a replacement for the winger whose contract expires at the end of the season, and they have identified a fellow Spaniard as the solution.

Vazquez has not been a first-team regular at the Bernabeu this season, having made just eight appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists. The likes of Rodrygo and Vinicius Jnr have moved ahead of him in the pecking order under manager Zinedine Zidane.

With the 28-year-old winger open to leaving, Chelsea are said to be preparing a bid in the region of €30m (£26m) for the Spanish international.

Some may argue that Vazquez would be a downgrade on Pedro, especially if you compare their goalscoring records. The Madrid player has scored just 22 goals in 193 games for Real while the Chelsea forward has 42 in 194 appearances.
