Chelsea Ready For Pursuit Of PSG’s Unhappy Cavani

The Blues have been lacking fire power for the whole of the season. It is a pity to see Mourinho’s side not being able to perform at full capacity just because they have a lack of scoring up front. Despite scoring a lot of goals through players like Hazard, Oscar and Lampard, Chelsea still leave fans feeling like they could have done a lot better if only they had someone as good as Suarez or Aguero.

According to Metro, the 2014 summer transfer period could finally be the time for the Stamford Bridge side to sign one of Europe’s finest. It seems that Edinson Cavani is no longer keen on continuing his PSG adventure, after being played out of position frequently, in order to keep Ibrahimovic happy. The two who have basically the same profile cannot play at the same time unless one of them is played out of position. The 27 year old Uruguayan who excelled while at Napoli has found himself out of favour, with PSG manager Laurent Blanc insisting on using him out wide.

Chelsea are the first to take interest in a possible move. It seems that Mourinho has made Cavani the club’s number 1 priority after missing out on Falcao who has picked up an injury which will keep him off pitch for the next few months.

Cavani will have little to no competition if he decides to move to London. According to rumors Lukaku, Ba and even Torres will be sold or moved on in order to balance out the deal with PSG who will be asking a lot for the Uruguayan international.
