Chelsea Predicted XI vs Swansea

Chelsea kick off the brand new Premier League season at home to Swansea City on Saturday evening at Stamford Bridge. The Blues won the league with ease last season, managing a eight-point gap over second placed Manchester City. However, with most of their title rivals strengthening, Mourinho’s men might find the league a little less easy this time around.

The game will kick off on Saturday 8th August at 17.30pm BST. Chelsea have the home advantage, but Swansea won’t be fased by that one bit after they beat Manchester United at Old Trafford on the opening day last year.

Here is the possible line-up we’re likely to see on Saturday:

(4-2-3-1)

Courtois

Ivanovic – Terry – Cahill – Azpilicueta

Matic – Fabregas

Hazard – Oscar – Willian

Falcao

It is likely that Diego Costa will miss the opening game due to injury, but his replacement isn’t so straight forward. New signing Falcao continues to look out of form, whilst Loic Remy has been the most in-form striker during pre-season.

Swansea have been busy in the transfer market this summer. Gary Monk has brought in several new faces including forward André Ayew and striker Éder.
