Goalkeeper and Defence

GK – Robert Sanchez – Filip Jorgensen’s injury suggests the Spaniard will keep his place after starting against Newcastle.

RB – Reece James – the captain may be asked to revert to right-back, with Malo Gusto making way.

CB – Wesley Fofana – despite the Frenchman’s poor performance at the weekend, we expect him to get the nod ahead of the inexperienced Mamadou Sarr.

CB – Trevoh Chalobah – Chelsea need a big game from the 26-year-old. Otherwise, they won’t stand a chance of securing their place in the quarter-finals.

LB – Marc Cucurella – the Spaniard needs to keep an eye on the likes of Ousmane Dembele and/or Desire Doue, as they will be incredibly dangerous on the counter-attack.
