Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Robert Sanchez – the Spaniard didn’t put in his best performance in Italy, and he will be hoping for a quieter game this weekend.
RB – Malo Gusto – Maresca’s rotation policy has left many scratching their heads, and you do question the logic of the Frenchman being left on the bench against Atalanta. He should return to the first eleven for the Everton clash.
CB – Josh Acheampong – with Wesley Fofana a doubt due to a head injury, the teenager’s excellent display midweek should be rewarded with another start.
CB – Trevoh Chalobah – Maresca shouldn’t be moving him back and forth from centre-half to right-back. He should stay in the middle of defence.
LB – Marc Cucurella – the left-back has bundles of energy but he has played a lot of games recently, and he did look a bit jaded against Atalanta. At some point, Jorrel Hato will need a runout.
