GK – Robert Sanchez – the Spaniard looks set to retain his place as the club’s number one for the foreseeable future.
RB – Reece James – after being rested for the Benfica game, the captain will return to the starting eleven on Saturday.
CB – Josh Acheampong – Trevoh Chalobah’s suspension means the 19-year-old could start in the centre of defence.
CB – Benoit Badiashile – the Frenchman got his first start of the campaign against Benfica, and he was substituted on 80 minutes, which may suggest he will start versus Liverpool.
LB – Marc Cucurella – the left-back will be tasked with keeping Mo Salah quiet. The Egyptian hasn’t been at his best this season so Cucurella has a decent chance of coming out on top.
