Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Robert Sanchez – received some criticism after the Leeds game but he has been one of the team’s most consistent players in recent weeks.
RB – Malo Gusto – it was a strange decision from Maresca to drop the Frenchman against Leeds and play Trevoh Chalobah at right-back instead. Gusto should be recalled.
CB – Wesley Fofana – his absence from the squad on Wednesday was understandable but he should come straight back into the lineup this weekend.
CB – Trevoh Chalobah – Maresca shouldn’t have played him out of position. He is much more comfortable playing as a centre-half.
LB – Marc Cucurella – the Spaniard was one of the very few who started versus Arsenal who wasn’t rotated midweek. It is a testament to his natural fitness.
