Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Robert Sanchez – the Spaniard was probably Chelsea’s best player against Newcastle. He will be hoping for a quieter game this weekend.
RB – Reece James – Malo Gusto struggled a great deal at St James’ Park, so the captain could be moved into the back four.
CB – Wesley Fofana – the defender had a difficult game last Saturday, but he can be forgiven one poor performance, considering he has impressed, for the most part, when available.
CB – Trevoh Chalobah – while he was lucky not to give away a penalty last weekend, he did ok overall.
LB – Marc Cucurella – fatigue has started to set in for the Spaniard. Maresca may need to rest him on a more regular basis, but it’s unlikely that he will be given a break against Villa.
