Chelsea’s season ended on a high note with Maurizio Sarri’s side lifting the Europa League after a 4-1 win over Arsenal.
It was the end of a difficult first season for the Italian, and it remains to be seen whether he’ll be at the club when preseason starts in July.
The Blues have, however, already been planning fixtures with a tour of Japan having been scheduled:
Friday 19th July – Kawasaki Frontale
Chelsea face the J-League champions in their first game of the tour. The match will take place at the International Stadium in Yokohama.
Tuesday 23rd July – Barcelona
The reigning La Liga champions will be the Blues’ opponents for the second match which will be held at the Saitama Stadium.
Sunday 28th July – Reading
Chelsea return to England at the end of the month for a friendly against the Championship side at the Madejski Stadium.
Wednesday 31st July – Red Bull Salzburg
The club will travel to Austria to face the current A-Bundesliga champions at the Red Bull Arena.
There are likely to be more friendlies arranged between now and July so we will make sure to keep you updated.
