Chelsea Plot Summer Swoop For 52M Rated Forward But They Could Have To Fight Off Interest From 2 Other Teams

Chelsea are lining up a move for Red Bull Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko, despite the fact that he has recently agreed to join RB Leipzig, according to reports in the English media.

The Blues did hold talks about signing the Slovenian international during the summer transfer window but the player subsequently decided to make the switch to Germany at the end of the season instead.

Despite Sesko’s impending move, though, it is believed Chelsea may try to persuade Leipzig into selling the forward even before the player has played a single game for them.

More clubs are also considering making a similar proposal, with both Manchester United and Bayern Munich seriously weighing up their own offers for the 21-year-old.

It is believed a bid in the region of €60m (£52m) would be needed to tempt Leipzig into offloading Sesko, although even then, you do have to wonder whether the Bundesliga side would consider a sale, especially as they have only very recently secured his signature.
