Chelsea Players Keen On Seeing New Arrivals In Action

John Obi Mikel will probably pair up with Fabregas behind Hazard, Oscar and Willian in order to construct one of the strongest midfield sections in European football. According to the Daily Mail, the 27 year old expressed his excitement regarding his future collaboration with the Spaniard who moved to Stamford Bridge on a £30million deal. With Fabregas returning sooner than expected to London, Chelsea players will finally meat their new colleague. After spending 8 years playing for the Blues, Obi Mikel looks keen on continuing his collaboration with the Londoners. He is set to return from Brazil in a couple of days after his team lost 2-0 to France.

Obi Mikel will have no problem performing next to the Spaniard who has a similar profile to that of Frank Lampard and Ramires. Both played next to the Nigerian during last season. With Lampard gone and with Ramires rumored as part of a swap between Real Madrid and Chelsea, Fabregas is the one who will probably become Mourinho’s first choice for the starting line-up.

When asked about how he feels about competing against the Spaniard for a spot in the first eleven, Mikel pointed out that they are not used in the same position. The 27 year old hinted towards the fact that he will be continuing with Chelsea despite rumors of his possible departure. He was recently linked to Inter and Valencia, with the Italians actually opening talks for the experienced midfielder.
