Midfield
CM – Moises Caicedo – 6/10 – the Ecuadorian did break up play in the middle of the park but his tackling was pretty poor and he committed too many fouls.
CM – Enzo Fernandez – 7/10 – the midfielder was strong both in and out of possession in the first half but faded as the game wore on as the Blues struggled to keep the ball.
AM – Conor Gallagher – 8/10 – another very good display from the 24-year-old whose work rate was unmatched by any other player on the pitch.
Gallagher was tasked with man-marking Rodri and he did an excellent job, whilst also being strong in possession.
