“Pathetic” would probably be the best description of Chelsea following their loss to Sunderland at the weekend.

As captain Reece James said after the game, the performance pretty much summed up the Blues’ season, or at least their campaign since the turn of the year.

Their opponents simply wanted the three points more, and Xabi Alonso will have to pick up the pieces this summer.
