Goalkeeper and Defence

GK – Robert Sanchez – 6/10 – couldn’t do much about either goal. He needed better protection in front of him.

RB – Malo Gusto – 5/10 – started the game brightly but he struggled to get forward, particularly after the Blues went down to ten men.

CB – Trevoh Chalobah – 4/10 – looked good right up until the moment that Jimenez beat him in the air for the opener.

CB – Tosin Adarabioyo – 4/10  – his marking at times is very poor. He failed to track Emile Smith Rowe whose shot was parried out by Sanchez to Wilson for the winner.

LB – Marc Cucurella – 3/10 – it was a needless red card. Chelsea were on top, and the Spaniard couldn’t deal with the long ball. Even then, there was no need to bring Wilson down.
