Goalkeeper and Defence

GK – Robert Sanchez – 6/10 – couldn’t do anything with Estevao’s precise finish in off the bar.

RB – Malo Gusto – 6/10 – the fullback got forward when he could, and he played a part in Chelsea’s winner.

CB – Trevoh Chalobah – 8/10 – a strong showing from the centre-back, who did his job defensively as well as getting an assist with a good pass for Palmer’s opening goal.

CB – Levi Colwill – 6/10 – didn’t mark Estevao tightly enough for the goal but he did block a dangerous cross on 70 minutes, which could have led to Palmeiras scoring a second.

LB – Marc Cucurella – 7/10 – was pulled out wide before Estevao scored, but he was excellent when asked to go one-on-one with the young Brazilian winger.
