Chelsea Player Ratings Vs Brentford: One Player Gets 8/10 But Four Others Get 4

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca was critical of his team’s failure to shut down the game after they conceded a late equaliser against Brentford.

Kevin Schade put the home side into the lead 10 minutes before halftime. The Blues rallied after making several changes, and they scored 2 goals in the second half to put themselves in the lead.

However, a long throw was Maresca‘s side’s undoing, with Fabio Carvalho tapping home unmarked in injury time.

Read below as we share our Chelsea player ratings for the 2-2 draw at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Goalkeeper and Defence

GK – Robert Sanchez – 7/10 – made a couple of good saves, but he couldn’t do much about either of the goals he conceded.

RB – Wesley Fofana – 4/10 – struggled, which is understandable considering how rusty he was and Maresca’s decision to play him out of position.

CB – Tosin Adarabioyo – 5/10 – caught out of position for Schade’s opener. Looked decidedly shaky all game.

CB – Trevoh Chalobah – 5/10 – also caught out for Brentford’s first goal and he struggled to deal with Igor Thiago.

LB – Jorrel Hato – 4/10 – the Dutchman had a terrible first touch and looked very nervous.
