Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Robert Sanchez – 8/10 – excellent. Made two great stops in either half from Gabriel Martinelli and Viktor Gyokeres.
RB – Malo Gusto – 6/10 – sold down the river by Fofana for Arsenal’s equaliser. He shouldn’t have been isolated against Merino, who is very strong in the air. Other than that, he got forward to support the attack when he could.
CB – Wesley Fofana – 4/10 – decided to mark no one rather than face Merino in an aerial duel for the goal. Before the cross comes in, you can see him communicating to Gusto that he wanted his teammate to deal with it. He should have taken the responsibility himself.
CB – Trevoh Chalobah – 7/10 – scored the opener with a great header and defended resolutely.
LB – Marc Cucurella – 6/10 – had Bukayo Saka in his pocket right until the moment he gave him a yard for the cross that led to Arsenal’s equaliser.
