Goalkeeper and Defence

GK – Robert Sanchez – 4/10 – just one of those nervy games from the Spaniard, which he has every so often. Nearly gifted a goal to Viktor Gyokeres after a heavy first touch, and he was at fault for Arsenal’s winner too.

RB – Reece James – 8/10 – some will blame him for Arsenal’s first goal, but he had no chance, with there being a two-on-one at the back post. He delivered a superb corner for the equaliser, and his crossing in general was excellent.

CB – Trevoh Chalobah – 6/10 – made sure Gyokeres was well marshalled, as well as making several interceptions.

CB – Mamadou Sarr – 5/10 – had a great chance to score early on, and he then deflected the ball into his own goal for Arsenal’s opener. A tough first Premier League start for the 20-year-old.

LB – Jorrel Hato – 6/10 – considering Cole Palmer did not track back, the Dutchman had the job of marking both Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber. In the circumstances, he did the best he could.
