Chelsea Planning Surprise Move For 30M Rated Ex Manchester City Midfielder

Chelsea and Newcastle are both weighing up offers for AC Milan attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz, according to reports in the English media.

The Spaniard is currently on loan from Real Madrid but Milan are not expected to trigger their £19m option to buy the player at the end of the season.

It means Diaz could well be available this summer, with Real likely to demand around £30m from other clubs to snap him up on a permanent basis.

The 23-year-old actually came through Manchester City‘s academy but he moved back to Spain in the 2019 January transfer window.

Diaz only played 21 matches for Real before being shipped out on loan. He has spent the last two and a half years with Milan, although he has been in and out of the Rossoneri’s starting eleven during that time.

This season, he has made 31 appearances in all competitions, scoring five times and providing two assists. They are hardly eye-catching figures so we shall see how serious Chelsea’s interest actually is.
