Chelsea on red alert as Lewandowski considers Bayern future

Chelsea are on high alert after the representatives of Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski are reportedly ready to offer the star out this summer.

Reports suggest the player’s new agent, Pini Zahavi, and his team are sounding out of number of options for the Poland international.

Real Madrid, as well as both Manchester clubs are amongst those being eyed by Zahavi for his €90 million euro client, however Chelsea is thought to be Lewandowski’s preferred destination if he were to leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

Chelsea are also keen on bringing the Pole to Stamford Bridge after a difficult season for current record signing Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard joined the Blues last summer, however has since failed to establish himself, managing only 14 goals in 41 appearances.

Lewandowski joined Bayern in a controversial move from rivals Borussia Dortmund back in 2014, and has since established himself as one of Europe’s elite forwards.

In nearly four seasons with Die Roten, the 29-year-old has made 188 appearances, and found the back of the net an astonishing 146 times – a period in which the striker has helped his side to four consecutive Bundesliga titles, as well as the DFB Pokal in 2015/16.

Lewandowski is the Bundesliga’s top scorer this season with 27 goals in 27 games.
