Chelsea On Alert As Questions Over £79m Rated Real Madrid Star’s Future Emerge

Chelsea are one of the team’s keeping an eye on Real Madrid midfielder Isco’s situation at the Spanish club, according to reports in Italy.

The playmaker was one of the first names on the teamsheet under previous coach Zinedine Zidane but has fallen out of favour following Santiago Solari’s appointment.

Isco was not in the matchday squad last night as Real beat Roma 2-0 in the Champions League and has not started a league match since the 5-1 loss to Barcelona, which ended Julen Lopetegui’s spell as manager.

However, the Blues are not the only team keeping tabs on the 26-year-old. Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham are believed to be interested while Manchester City have reportedly been prepared to pay €90m (£79m) for the player in the past.

Serie A champions Juventus are also said to be in the mix with the Bianconeri having attempted to buy the midfielder back in the summer.

Much may depend on whether Isco gets his place back in Real’s first team over the coming weeks. If he doesn’t, speculation will only intensify that he could be on his way out of the Bernabeu in the January transfer window.
