Chelsea Now Due To Buy Brazilian Star Striker?

Chelsea it seems are destined to land an impressive player this summer. Hulk, who is currently with Zenit, expressed his disappointment as far as life in Russia goes. The Russian Championship was a strange choice to make in the first place for the Brazilian striker especially considering the fact that when he left Porto he was at the top of his game. Even though he is one of the most well paid players in the world, he is still young and feels like he is missing out on a lot by playing with Zenit. He signed with the St Petersburg team at the end of the summer transfer period and managed to bring his former team an impressive £40 million.

Chelsea were outbid by the Russians, but it seems the Brazilian striker could still end up at Stamford Bridge at the end of this football season. The performance levels of the 26 year old have dropped in recent times and reportedly manager Luciano Spalletti is no longer interested in keeping Hulk for next season.

There has been no official statement yet, from the Russian team, but it does seem highly likely that he will leave and the Blues look like the perfect destination. Recently, he dodged questions as far as which his next team will be, but did say that he loves the Premier League.

Chelsea are going to invest a considerable amount of money in getting a destructive, goal-scoring striker into Stamford Bridge and are the only Premier League team that has revealed any serious interest in the Brazilian striker. Hulk’s future is tightly linked to whether Falcao will sign with the Blues or not. The Colombian is an expensive player but Abramovich looks quite keen on signing him.

Atletico’s player seems a much better choice considering he has managed an incredible 63 goal haul between this season and last. Even price wise, the Colombian striker may end up costing less than Hulk. Chelsea are in a good bargaining position with the Spanish side and have both Torres and Courtois as possible exchange elements that could lower the £60 million transfer fee.

We shall see which South American country the striker arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer comes from…will he be Brazilian or Colombian?
