Chelsea fans chanted Costa’s name during last week’s game in Madrid. Even so, it seems the Brazilian born Spanish international is not as certain as them he will leave Atletico. According to talkSPORT, Mourinho is very interested in Costa but the striker who is valued at £32m is more than happy to continue playing for the Spanish side with whom he will perform in the Champions League final against Real. It is still not certain if Costa was avoiding making a comment on a possible move just before the clash against Chelsea or if he is really sure he will continue honoring his current deal.

Diego Costa seems to be Chelsea’s main target for the summer. His excellent season and the Blues’ lack of efficiency in front of goal seem to point towards the fact that a bid will surely be placed for the 25 year old striker. He was strongly linked to Chelsea even since last summer but the clubs failed to reach an agreement.

Costa was asked about the fans’ reaction during the first length of the semi-finals but insisted he did not understand why Chelsea fans chanted his name. He also explained that a move is very unlikely considering he is still under contract with Atletico for the next 4 years.

Hopefully for Chelsea, the fans were not chanting in vain. The Blues could surely use a players as efficient and as skilful as Costa. A striker of his quality would have probably helped Mourinho get at least one trophy this season.
