Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Robert Sanchez – 4/10 – the Spaniard’s kicking nearly got his side in trouble 10 minutes into the game but Gabriel Martinelli didn’t make the most of the error. Sanchez also flapped at nearly every cross. However, he wasn’t really at fault for the goal and he made a very good save from Mikel Merino in the second half.
RB – Wesley Fofana – 4/10 –why Maresca keeps playing the Frenchman at right-back is anyone’s guess. He could have easily been sent off either for a stamp on Declan Rice or for two bookable offences.
CB – Levi Colwill – 4/10 – Maresca’s decision to play two left-footed players at centre-half when he’s got Fofana is very bizarre. Colwill looked uncomfortable playing on the right of the two, getting himself booked for a reckless lunge on Leandro Trossard.
CB – Benoit Badiashile – 4/10 – the Frenchman looked nervous and regularly gave the ball away to Arsenal players. He could be dropped after this display.
LB – Marc Cucurella – 6/10 – the Spaniard was undoubtedly Chelsea’s best defender, with his volley nearly going in after being spilt by David Raya. However, he could have given away a penalty when he handled the ball.
