Goalkeeper and Defence

GK – Robert Sanchez – 5/10 – couldn’t do much to stop Eberechi Eze’s goal, which curled into the far corner, but he was lucky that his fumble from Daichi Kamada’s shot didn’t find its way into the back of the net.

RB – Malo Gusto – 6/10 – persisted with runs down the right flank without really threatening in the final third. Did his job defensively though by blocking a goal-bound shot from Eze. Went off injured which will be a concern for Maresca.

CB – Wesley Fofana – 7/10 – looked comfortable all afternoon and he managed to keep Jean-Philippe Mateta quiet which is not an easy task.

CB – Levi Colwill – 8/10 – a great display from the 21-year-old. Not only did he marshall Mateta well but he was a threat at the other end. His interception and pass started the move for Nicolas Jackson’s opener, while he had an attempt of his own saved by Palace keeper Dean Henderson.

LB – Marc Cucurella – 5/10 – very quiet in attack, and he did have some issues as Kamada and Daniel Munoz doubled up on him.
