Chelsea winger Pedro Neto put in arguably his best performance for the club so far since his summer arrival from Wolves.
The £54m recruit set up Nicolas Jackson for the opening goal during the 2-1 win over Newcastle at the weekend, and he was a constant thorn in the side of opposing fullback Tino Livramento. Fans on X were quick to praise the winger following the final whistle:

Neto has recovered from a difficult start
It is fair to say that the Portuguese international did not impress in his first few matches for his new team. Head coach Enzo Maresca even substituted him at half-time against Bournemouth last month.
However, Neto has performed well both domestically and in Europe in recent weeks. He got himself a goal against Gent at the beginning of October and he hasn’t looked back from there, producing good displays in subsequent fixtures versus Liverpool, Panathinaikos and the Magpies.
Chelsea have fierce competition on the flanks
Neto knows he can’t rest on his laurels if he wants to keep his place in the starting lineup. Mykhailo Mudryk was also excellent against Panathinaikos midweek, while Jadon Sancho has started his Blues career strongly.
Maresca has a wealth of options in attack which should help the Blues compete on all fronts this season.
