‘He Is The Man, No One Comes Close’ ‘Well Deserved’ Fans React As Chelsea Ace Is Nominated For Award

Chelsea forward Joao Pedro has been chosen by the Premier League as one of the eight nominees for August’s Player of the Month award.

The 23-year-old has scored 2 goals and contributed 2 assists in his 3 appearances, and supporters on X believe he would be a deserving winner:

Who will Pedro be going up against for the prize?

Liverpool pair Dominik Szoboszlai and Hugo Ekitike, Arsenal’s Riccardo Calafiori, Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, Everton loanee Jack Grealish, Manchester City forward Erling Haaland and Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi are the other nominees.

Ekitike (2 goals and 1 assist), Semenyo (2 goals and 1 assist) and Haaland (3 goals) are likely to pose the greatest threat to Pedro securing the accolade.

The Brazilian has been in superb form since joining the Blues from Brighton back in July, having also scored 3 times at the Club World Cup, including in the final against Paris Saint-Germain.
