3) Chelsea vs Brighton – Saturday 27th September: DRAW
The Crystal Palace and Fulham fixtures suggest that Maresca’s team may find things difficult at home against teams lower down the table.
Of course, there is a good chance that the Blues can get a victory in this match, having secured a 4-2 scoreline in the corresponding fixture last season.
However, this is not an easy matchup. Fabian Hurzeler’s side showed against Manchester City that they are tough opponents.
4) Chelsea vs Liverpool – Saturday 4th October: DRAW
While the Reds may head into this game top of the table, they haven’t looked particularly convincing in the opening weeks of the campaign.
In fact, Arne Slot’s team have been pretty vulnerable at the back, so you would be surprised if Chelsea didn’t get anything from this match.
A win could be on the cards in the right circumstances but a draw is definitely a realistic ambition.
5) Notts Forest vs Chelsea – Saturday 18th October: WIN
The Tricky Trees are way off the pace at the moment. They lost 3-0 AT HOME to a West Ham team who looked decidedly poor in their other fixtures this season.
For that reason, you would back the Blues to come away from the City Ground with all three points.
