‘What A Goal’ ‘He Is Better Than Neymar’ Fans Excited After Seeing What New Chelsea Signing Did Last Night

Soon-to-be Chelsea player Estevao Willian scored a spectacular goal for Palmeiras against Gremio on Thursday night.

The Brazilian (who will join the Blues when he turns 18 next year) fired in an equaliser with his left foot from outside the box. It was enough for Palmeiras to secure a 2-2 draw which puts them third in Brazil’s Serie A table after 14 games played. Fans on X were waxing lyrical about Estavao’s outstanding strike following the final whistle:

Chelsea have invested a lot of money in Estevao

Despite the winger‘s lack of senior appearances, the Blues have gone out on a limb by spending a staggering €60m (Β£51m) on the teenager.

The London club will pay €34m (Β£29m) upfront for Estevao, with the rest being paid in performance-related add-ons.

His agent believes he is better than Neymar

Speaking about Estevao’s potential earlier this week, his representative Andre Cury said that the 17-year-old is performing at a higher level than Neymar at the same stage of his development:

“He has quality, talent, speed, change of direction, intelligence. In fact, if you take Neymar to his age, he’s above what Neymar was. At 17, Estevao plays better than Neymar did at 17. We’ll only know if he’ll reach the same peak as Neymar over time.”

Based on his goal against Gremio, not many supporters will be disputing Cury’s remarks. It appears that Chelsea have signed a real gem.
