Starting against Manchester City was always going to be a baptism of fire for new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca.

There were definitely positives to take from the performance. They gave as good as they got for most of the 90 minutes.

It has to be pointed out, though, that City were far from full strength so you do have to keep things in perspective. Based on what we saw, there are still several pressing issues that Maresca needs to resolve.
