Chelsea Move To First Place After An Easy Win Against Hull City

Saturday’s Hull City vs Chelsea game was pretty well balanced during the first half but the balance clearly leaned in favor of the Blues after half-time. The win was well deserved even though Hull only managed 2 on target shots during the entire game. The hosts started off determined to get a good result but got lost along the way after having to face Mourinho’s excellent tactics which closed every gap that could allow the adversaries to get near goal.

The Portuguese manager should get a lot of credit for this particular win. His team looked totally different after half-time which could only mean Chelsea’s boss knows how to motivate his players during tough situations. Eden Hazard continued his excellent performances and was the best player on the pitch by far. Oscar and Willian also performed well, leaving Hull’s defenders looking lost most of the time.

The first goal came right after Luiz had a great chance to get the opener. Hazard got through Hull’s defensive line and found the bottom corner with 15 minutes into half time. It was a well-deserved advantage considering Chelsea’s and especially Hazard’s second half performances.

The Blues continued their domination throughout the rest of the game. Spirits heated up a bit with the referee having to show 3 yellow cards in a matter of minutes.

Mikel came on for Oscar to help the defense maintain the 1 goal advantage. With 5 minutes to go, Torres moved like back in the day and reminded fans of his Liverpool runs. He closed the game out with a clinical left-footed finish and helped Chelsea move to first place at least until Monday when Arsenal face Aston Villa.
